Boundary Family Services is a CARF Accredited agency. Our services are provided by professionally trained staff in a respectful and confidential manner.

All child services are provided FREE of charge thanks to our funders and the generous support of private donors.

Infant Development Program

The Infant Development Program (IDP) provides home-based services for infants at risk for developmental delay or with a diagnosed disability.

IDP encourages the overall development of the child by assisting families to provide appropriate activities and experiences, and to assist families in responding to the needs of their infants and children.

Early Intervention Therapies

Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services are provided to children that are risk for developmental delays or who are affected by disabilities.

Services are provided in a family responsive manner with frequency determined by the child and family needs.

Early Childhood Development Programs

A wide variety of programs are offered to meet children, youth and family interests and needs and integrate them with Early Childhood programs so our children have the very best chance at success. 

These programs include StrongStart, Mother Goose, Alphabet Soup, Parent and Tot Skate, Parent and Tot Swimming and many more.

Community Integration Program

This service provides positive, inclusive, community based programming for children with developmental and/or physical challenges.

Child Counselling

Counselling is provided to children affected by trauma, sexual abuse, family violence and grief and loss.

Individual as well as group counselling is available dependent on need and presenting issue.

StrongStart

A free drop in program for children and their parent or caregiver in the elementary schools throughout the Boundary.  Pretend play, free play, circle time, gym and library time in the elementary schools, art play and a nutritious snack are all available. 

Strong Start Programs in the Boundary will no longer be managed by Boundary Family Services.

Our Programs & Services

Boundary Family Services provides a wide variety of programs to meet the interests and needs of children, youth and families throughout the Boundary with the main hub being the Glanville Family Centre in Grand Forks. Some programs require an appointment while other programs are open for drop in. Accessing most programs just requires that you contact us for an intake appointment or drop in time but some programs have specific guidelines and require a referral.

Boundary Family Services is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our participants through our Communicable Diseases Plan:

 - Please do not attend the centre or outdoor groups if you are not feeling well

Physical distancing with staff and other participants is encouraged

- Practice healthy hand hygiene by washing your hands or using the provided hand sanitizer when entering the centre or attending an outdoor group

- Enhanced cleaning measures are in place in all areas

- Masks are available but are no longer mandatory in indoor spaces
